The Wild Spice Trail
Maker Heights

Out of stock

Foraging in August is an interesting experience, as the season and landscape finds itself in a period of transition. The floral displays are left behind as plants and trees, instead, begin to showcase their seeds, berries, and spices. This walk sets out to illuminate the best wild ingredients of the season and demonstrate why summer can be a brilliant time to get creative with the flavours of summer. Join Leon Frey atop Maker Heights as he shares his passion for ecology and etymology, with a walk that explores the most exciting wild edibles.

This foraging course begins at 10.30 and concludes at 1.30pm, not before an opportunity to taste what has been foraged in a cooking session! Please do make a note of any dietary requirements you might have when booking as we like to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the recipes we taste at the end of the session. Adult foraging walk tickets are £25 and we welcome children to attend for free. Please, however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance, so that we can keep track of numbers!

Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email after the booking is made.
