The Edible Seaweeds of Coastal Cornwall
Kingsand Bay

1 in stock

Take a 3-hour guided walk with expert forager, Vix Hill-Ryder, across the stunning shoreline of Kingsand Bay. Learn the all about the Cornish coast's edible seaweeds, including their flavours, nutritional information, and how to begin identfying and harvesting your own. Once you've finished examining and foraging the shore, you'll get to join a cookery demonstration and tasting session, showcasing how to cook the wild ingredients you've picked!

The course takes place between 11am and 2pm at Kingsand, Cornwall. We recommend bringing a notepad and/or camera along with you to help record and, later, recall the wild foods your encounter. Please, however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance, so that we can keep track of numbers! Unfortuantely, we find that our walks are unsuitable for dogs and ask that they are not brought along with you. Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email after the booking is made.

Disclaimer: If a course is cancelled by the Family Foraging Kitchen, such as in the event of unsuitable weather conditions, alternative dates will be made available, as well as the option of a full refund. Customers are also welcome to swap their booking for another course (subject to availability) or request a refund until seven days before the course takes place. Following this time, we will be unable to offer a refund (except in certain cases) as it is unlikely we will be able to fill the course.
