Seaweed is one of the most fascinating foods we have all across our shore and, yet, it remains alien to many of our diets. We believe this should change! This course will take you across the beautiful Whitsand Bay, teaching you how to identify, harvest, and cook the amazing wild foods available right out of the sea. Our head forager, Vix, will guide you at a pleasant pace from rock pools to the beach, sharing her passion and knowledge of the hundreds of seaweeds that appear, before setting up for a cookery demonstration and showing you exactly how to begin preparing and eating your own.

This course takes place at Whitsand Bay between 1pm and 4pm. We recommend bringing a notepad and/or camera along with you to help record and, later, recall the wild foods your encounter. Logistics for the event, including meeting points and parking information, will be emailed soon after your booking is made.

Disclaimer: If a course is cancelled by the Family Foraging Kitchen, such as in the event of unsuitable weather conditions, alternative dates will be made available, as well as the option of a full refund. Following this time, we will be unable to offer a refund (except in certain cases) as it is unlikely we will be able to fill the course.
