Wild Spices Foraging
Maker Heights
Out of stock
From hedgerows and meadows to woodlands and clifftops, Maker Heights is one of the most exciting places to forage in Cornwall and is not only appreciated by the community for its outstanding coastal views but also for the abundance of delicious wild ingredients that it provides all year round. Join our head forager Vix Hill-Ryder for this walk, as she demonstrates how to identify, collect & find uses for the variety of wild spices that can be found here. Vix will teach you how to recognise and pick your own wild spices before hosting a cooking and tasting demonstration that incorporates these wild spices into recipes, giving you the opportunity to eat your foraged foods in exciting ways.
This course takes place between 10.30am and 1:30pm. We recommend bringing a notepad and/or camera along with you to help record and, later, recall the wild foods you encounter. Adult foraging walk tickets are £30 and we welcome children under 12 years to attend for free. Please, however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance, so that we can keep track of numbers! Unfortunately, we find that our walks are unsuitable for dogs and ask that they are not brought along with you. Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email after the booking is made
