Summer is a famously beautiful time across Cornwall and the county comes alive with activity. Located on the Rame Penisula, just outside of Sheviock, is our Horsepool Apiary and Education Centre, a site that we have been working to rewild. It is also home to our very own orchard and many of our heritage craft courses. The land is also abundant with amazing wild foods and, during the summer, we host a special foraging class that explores the hedges, grasslands, and meadows of our idyllic site.

This walk will explore the seasonal landscapes, helping to equip you with the foraging knowledge and confidence to begin turning your summer strolls into feast for the senses and your dinner table. At the end of the class, Vix will host a cooking and tasting session that will show you how to prepare and eat everything that has been picked on the day.

This course begins at 10.30 and concludes at 1.30pm. Please do make a note of any dietary requirements you might have when booking as we like to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the recipes we taste at the end of the session. Adult foraging walk tickets are £25 and we welcome children to attend for free. Please, however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance, so that we can keep track of numbers! Unfortuantely, we find that our walks are unsuitable for dogs and ask that they are not brought along with you. Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email after the booking is made.

Customers are also welcome to swap their booking for another course (subject to availability) or request a refund until seven days before the course takes place. Following this time, we will be unable to offer a refund (except in certain cases) as it is unlikely we will be able to fill the course.
