The Wild Edges Project
Millbrook Closed Graveyard

The second in our series of free community Wild Edges events is arriving on Sunday 7th April!

Nature surveys and recording take place throughout the day from 10:30am, beginning at the Chapel and then we welcome all to join us for a special Mammology walk at 12pm! We will be looking inside mammal trackers, exploring habitats, looking for signs of tracks and clues as to who’s living inside and who comes to visit the graveyard, as well as installing a hedgehog house.

Robbie, one of our guides for the day, studied Environmental Conservation Landforms and Ecosystems and was awarded a Licentiateship in Conservation for his achievements in teaching Conservation at Duchy College and Plymouth College. He’s been passionate about wildlife since a boy and has been restoring 11.8 acres of land locally to increase biodiversity and habitats. He is also an active apiarist.

The chapel of rest will once again be open as a dry space for free cups of coffee and tea, and as a place for reference books and information.
