Discover the world of garden birds and their nesting habits as our expert woodcrafter, Robbie Ryder, shares his knowledge and skills. On this course you will learn how to carve and sculpt a log into a home for this coming year's nesting birds. Using axes, draw-knifes, shave horses, and other hand tools, we will make boxes that you will be able to take home to put up in your gardens.

The course takes place between 10am and 2pm at our heritage craft education centre. Children are welcome to join this course with the attendance of an adult and for only £10 extra. Please email us directly if you'd like to bring your little one along!

Disclaimer: If a course is cancelled by the Family Foraging Kitchen, such as in the event of unsuitable weather conditions, alternative dates will be made available, as well as the option of a full refund. Customers are also welcome to swap their booking for another course (subject to availability) or request a refund until seven days before the course takes place. Following this time, we will be unable to offer a refund (except in certain cases) as it is unlikely we will be able to fill the course.
