As winter begins to disappear, fresh greens return to the landscape, bringing flavours and aromas to foraging baskets, as well as many foragers from their hibernation.

Join Leon Frey as he welcomes you to explore Wacker Quay, getting hands-on with seasonal delights. This course will guide attendees on how to begin foraging their own ingredients sustainably and safely while learning about the history and language of the landscape.

This course begins at 09.30am and concludes at 12.30pm. The landscape has only a few small inclines and is suitable for walkers of all abilities, though we do recommend wearing sturdy footwear as the woodland and estuary can get muddy. Please do make a note of any dietary requirements you might have when booking as we like to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the foods collected. Adult foraging walk tickets are £30 and we welcome children to attend for free. Please, however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance so that we can keep track of numbers! Unfortunately, we find that our walks are unsuitable for dogs and ask that they are not brought along with you. Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email shortly after the booking is made.

Disclaimer: If a course is cancelled by the Family Foraging Kitchen, such as in the event of unsuitable weather conditions, alternative dates will be made available if appropriate, as well as the option of a full refund. Customers are also welcome to swap their booking for another course (subject to availability) or request a refund until seven days before the course takes place. Following this time, we will be unable to offer a refund (except in certain cases) as it is unlikely we will be able to fill the course.
