Using hand-carving techniques and developing whittling skills, our expert craftsman, Robbie, teaches you how to create spoon of various designs with only a log and a knife. This course will guide you through knife safety, how to understand and work with wood, and, ultimately, how to transform raw material into a thing of beauty and practicality. We supply you with all the tools you need to learn and whittle and carve on the day, guiding you to create a basic (but nonetheless brilliant) spoon. Then, once you've finished, you'll be able to take your new skills and spoon with you to begin whittling anywhere!

This course takes place at our Horsepool Apiary between 10am and 3pm. All essential equipment will be supplied and we simply advise that you dress appropriately for the weather. Logistics for the event, including meeting points and parking information, will be emailed soon after your booking is made.
