You will start the day meeting Vix Hill-Ryder,our expert forager in Sharrow's pay & display carpark on Military Road at 10:30. You will then join her for a 3-hour guided walk across the stunning shoreline of Sharrow nr. Whitsand Bay. Learning about the Cornish coast's edible seaweeds, including their flavours, nutritional information, and how to begin identifying and harvesting your own. Once you've finished examining and foraging the shore, you'll can join a cookery demonstration and tasting session, showcasing how to cook the wild ingredients you've picked!
This course takes place between 10.30 and 13.30 at Sharrow, Nr Whitsand, Cornwall, suiting the day's tide. We recommend bringing a notepad and/or camera along with you to help record and later recall the wild foods you encounter, as well as a container and scissors if you'd like to collect your own ingredients. Adult foraging walk tickets are £30 and we welcome children to attend for free. Please however, do let us know if any children will be in attendance, so that we can keep track of numbers! Unfortunately, we find that our walks are unsuitable for dogs and ask that they are not brought along with you. Logistics for the foraging course will be sent via email after the booking is made.
