For our Wild Food Box initiative, we collaborated with local artist, Esther Alexandra, to create a series of recipe cards inspired by the mythology and meaning behind local foraged foods. These cards were released, with two included in each Wild Food Box delivery.
The cards, with information and recipes created by forager Vix Hill-Ryder, were offered not only as a way to familiarise recipients with the plants through beautiful designs but also as a way to demonstrate how easy it can be food foraged ingredients to be introduced into a kitchen, with simple to follow and delicious recipes, such as gorse scones and rosebay willowherb hummus.
These cards are now being made avaialble as a pack of twenty-four, with a selection of Esther's beautiful designs and Vix's wonderful recipes. They have been sustainably and beautifully printed by the St. Austell Printing Company in Cornwall, making them an ideal gift for those who want to start cooking with wild ingredients!
