Over the years we have enjoyed providing wild food walks, talks, cookery and wild medicine classes at big named festivals and events such as Beautiful Days Festival and the increasingly popular Faery Festival to smaller and more local gigs such as Maker Sunshine Festival, All Ways Apples Festival, Plymouth Food Festival and Dartmoor's Bellever Day.
We are now taking bookings for festivals and events in 2018. Contact us as soon as possible if you'd like us at your event next year to avoid dissapointment!
In 2014, we ran a successful Kickstarter Campaign to purchase a large, 6m bell tent (now affectionately nicknamed Bertha after surviving a hurricane of the same name at the 2014 Blues and Roots festival in Cornwall!) She gets transformed into our mobile kitchen and workshop space.
We Travel with Bertha to festivals and events throughout the UK, running workshops and courses in foraging for wild edibles - showcasing inspiring, affordable and nutritious recipes. From cookery courses to herbal hedgerow medicine courses - she's even transformed into a Wild Tea Lounge and Chill Space - offering festival goers a place to come and sample hedgerow seasonal produce - have a cup of freshly picked herbal tea - and to chat about their own wild food journeys or lay back on a bean bag and read our selection of wild food books and journals.
With a fire pit and selection of cast iron cookwear for outside, this year we have just purchased a wood burning stove to go inside the tent- making her even more efficient and giving us the option to add more exciting cookery courses. The mobile kitchen allows us to run our events and activities not only on the beautiful Rame peninsula where we are based - but to travel into schools, charities, festivals and at events.
We like to take our foraging expeditions to you, with the best set up for wild cookery classes. For more info on how to book us in to appear at your event, festival, school, college or charity - please call or email us now.
We look forward to hearing from you!
We are based on the beautiful Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall. You can choose from hedgerow walks with stunning sea views, coastal walks that finish on the wonderful Cornish shoreline, woodland walks and even discover what's hidden in the wild urban landscapes of our nearest city, just across the water - Plymouth. We range in price from our popular monthly wild food walks (with a cookery class using the wild produce we've collected at the end also included!) for just £20 an adult and children go free. Bespoke private walks can be arranged at any time (and location of your choosing) - and we also offer exciting packages tailored for honeymooners and corporate team building days etc (please see the relevant pages on this site!). We also run courses in traditional countryside crafts - such as bee keeping, willow weaving and working with wild game.
